Approx. 50 companies and competence and research centres in the ICT sector will be presenting themselves at CeBIT 2010 from March 2 to 6. 

As a partner country in 2008 France benefited greatly from CeBIT and expanded its business with Germany. The French ICT sector stay in a good position to face the global financial crisis. For 2010, French ICT sector will represent a growth of 0,4% compare to 0,3% for European ICT sector.

4 French Pavilions will be organized by UBIFRANCE on CeBIT 2010.

One of this year's new features will be a joint Ubifrance stand, dedicated to Intelligent Transport Systems and Services (Hall 7). A strong presence of Midi Pyrenees region through Aerospace Valley Cluster will be represented in the French Pavilion. At the heart of Aerospace Valley, World Competitiveness Cluster in Aeronautics, Space, and Embedded Systems, the Midi-Pyrenees region, with more than 55,000 jobs, the presence of Airbus headquarters and major international prime contractors, is a world leader in civil aeronautics. The region also leads Europe in the design and manufacture of space systems and applications.

This will be the second time that the Carnot Institutes are represented at CeBIT (Hall 9). The institutes - 33 in all - form a network of 12,800 scientists who all share the same goal: to promote innovation, technological transfer and partnership between governmental research establishments and industrial enterprises. The Carnot network is one of the biggest European research and technology organisations. Its institutes cover seven areas of expertise, including information and communications technology and also micro and nano technologies. Franco-German projects on application-specific joint research are conducted between the Carnot Institutes and the Fraunhofer Society in ITC.

Regional business promotion agencies are also expected such as Moselle Development, the economic development body set up by Moselle County Council (Hall 9) and Paris Region Economic Development Agency (Hall 3).

CeBIT is a particularly suitable forum for French small to medium-sized businesses. Business IT solutions will also be represented through French Pavilion focus on communication software editor, project management software, 3D web applications, email archiving services and automated legacy modernization solutions (Hall 3).  

Second French Pavilion Edition on "Planet Reseller" which seeks to target prospective international distributors (Hall 14).
